About Me

I am a biologist with a PhD in Biological Sciences from the National University of Córdoba, Argentina. I am currently a CONICET Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Instituto de Biología Subtropical (CONICET–UNaM). My research focuses on animal movement ecology and conservation, particularly understanding how wildlife uses human-modified landscapes. During my PhD, I studied the movement ecology of black capuchin monkeys and their conflicts with forestry. I currently work on jaguar movement and ecological connectivity in the Atlantic Forest. I am interested in applying quantitative ecology and spatial analysis to generate knowledge that supports wildlife conservation and promotes coexistence between wildlife and people.

Mono Caí

Primates in Plantations

I studied movemement and feeding ecology of Black Capuchin Monkyes living in pine plantations of northeastern Argentina. Our goal was to understand the underlying causes of pine trees bark-stripping behavior. We tested a primate-friendly solution to mitigate the conflict and promote coexistence between primates and foresters.

Other Species

Other research project I have conducted are focused on ecology and behavior of other mammal species, like lesser anteaters (Tamandua tetradactyla) and birds, mostly woodpeckers.
